Walks
The South Downs Way
Step straight onto one of England's best-known walking routes, winding across the chalk hills of the South Downs with big skies and beautiful views along the way.
The Poet's Stone
An 8km loop from your door up Shoulder of Mutton Hill to Edward Thomas's memorial, with views right over Petersfield.
Queen Elizabeth Country Park
Two thousand acres of open woodland, rolling hills and countryside to explore. Walk up to Butser Hill, the highest point on the South Downs Way, for some of the best views across the area.
Pubs
The Pub with No Name
Just 1.5 miles from your cabin, this whitewashed 17th-century inn sits in a field and serves real ales, great food and plenty of space outside. A proper country pub worth the walk.
The Hawkley Inn
A village local with good ales, hearty food and a garden. Twenty minutes by walking. Closed Mondays.
Coffee, food & drink
Josie's, Petersfield
A dog-friendly café for brunch and good coffee. Park on Swan Street.
Days out
Butser Ancient Farm
Step back in time at this open-air archaeological site, where reconstructed ancient buildings bring the area's history to life. A great one to combine with a walk around Butser Hill.
Explore the villages
Take the scenic route and discover the small villages scattered across the South Downs. Country lanes, village greens, old pubs and plenty of reasons to stop for a wander.
