You can book directly through our website. Explore all our cabins, choose your location, select your dates and book online. You'll receive a confirmation email with everything you need ahead of your stay.

Can I book a last-minute cabin getaway?

Absolutely, subject to availability. If you're planning a spontaneous midweek break or last-minute weekend away, you can check availability across all our locations or get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Is there a minimum stay?

All of our cabins have a two-night minimum stay, although this can vary during busy periods and bank holidays. You'll see the available dates and minimum stay requirements when booking.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

If you book more than 30 days before arrival, we take a 30% deposit to secure your booking, and the balance is taken automatically from the same card 21 days before arrival. If you book within 30 days of arrival, you pay in full when you book.

Can I buy a HIDE n SEEK gift voucher?

Yes! Our gift vouchers make a lovely present for someone who enjoys the countryside, great walks and cosy cabin stays. Simply choose an amount and buy your voucher through our gift voucher page. Vouchers can be used at any of our cabins, at any location.

Cancellations and changes

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than seven days before arrival, we'll refund your booking minus a £25 administration fee. Cancellations within seven days of arrival are non-refundable. We recommend taking out travel insurance in case your plans change unexpectedly.

You can find the full details in our terms and conditions.

Can I change my booking dates?

We'll always try to help where we can. Date changes depend on availability, so please get in touch as early as possible and we'll look at your options.

Getting here and checking in

Where are your off-grid cabins located?

Our cabins are tucked away in beautiful countryside locations across the Cotswolds, Canterbury and the Kent Downs, Dorset, East Sussex, the South Downs and Salisbury.

Each location has its own character, with lovely walks, country pubs and places to explore nearby.

Can I drive to the cabins?

Yes, all our locations have parking. You'll receive detailed arrival instructions, a parking location and directions to your cabin before your stay. Some cabins involve a short countryside walk from the parking area.

Is parking included?

Yes, parking is free at all our locations. Our cabins are designed to sit naturally within the landscape, so you may need to walk a short distance from your car. We'll explain everything in your arrival guide, and a trolley is provided where needed to help with luggage.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is by 10am (11am at our Canterbury and South Downs cabins).

Before your stay, we'll send you everything you need for a smooth arrival, along with our favourite local walks, pubs, cafés and places to explore. So if you're arriving in the area before check-in or fancy making a day of it after check-out, you'll have plenty of ideas.

How do I check in?

All our cabins offer self check-in, so you can arrive without needing to meet anyone. We'll send clear directions and access instructions before your stay, including how to find your cabin and collect the key.

Can I get to the cabins by public transport?

Yes! Most of our locations can be reached by train, followed by a taxi to the cabin's parking area.

  • Canterbury: Travel by train to Canterbury, followed by a taxi into the Kent countryside.
  • Cotswolds: Travel to Kemble or Cheltenham Spa, followed by a taxi towards Chedworth or Andoversford.
  • Dorset: Travel to Dorchester, followed by a taxi into the countryside near Plush.
  • East Sussex: Travel to Uckfield, followed by a taxi towards Whitesmith.
  • South Downs: Travel to Petersfield, followed by a taxi towards Froxfield.
  • Salisbury: Travel to Salisbury station, followed by a taxi to the cabin.

We recommend booking a taxi in advance, particularly for our more rural locations. A car can also be useful for exploring the surrounding countryside, although there are plenty of beautiful walks and places to discover during your stay straight from the cabin door without one.

What's included in your cabin?

What facilities do your off-grid cabins have?

Each cabin is thoughtfully equipped with a comfortable bed, kitchenette, hot shower, composting toilet, wood-burning stove and solar-powered lighting. You'll also have your own outdoor space with a firepit or BBQ, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring.

You can explore our cabins and locations to find the right one for your stay.

Do the cabins have electricity?

Yes! Our cabins run on solar power, providing lighting and USB charging for your phone and other small devices. Electricity is limited compared with a conventional home, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully. High-powered appliances such as hairdryers and straighteners aren't suitable.

Do the cabins have hot showers?

Yes, every cabin has its own private hot shower. You can enjoy all the essentials of a comfortable stay while being surrounded by nature.

Is there a proper toilet?

Each cabin has a private composting toilet. They work differently from a conventional flushing toilet but are straightforward to use. You'll find simple instructions inside your cabin.

Can I cook in the cabin?

Absolutely! Every cabin has a two-ring gas hob, pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. We've provided everything you'll need to prepare a simple meal, whether that's breakfast before a walk or dinner after a day exploring. Just bring your favourite food and drinks.

Is there a fridge?

Yes, every cabin has a fridge for keeping your food and drinks cool. Please note that in winter this is changed to a coolbox to preserve power.

Do the cabins have heating?

Every cabin has a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy on cooler evenings. You'll typically only need to light the fire when it's below around 10°C outside, although this depends on what feels comfortable to you. Our cabins are designed for year-round stays, including autumn and winter countryside breaks.

Do I need to bring firewood?

You'll need to bring or arrange firewood for the wood burner and outdoor firepit. Your pre-arrival information will explain the arrangements for your cabin.

Do you provide bedding and towels?

Yes, fresh bedding and towels are provided, so there's no need to bring your own.

Is there WiFi or mobile signal?

Our cabins don't have WiFi, but you may have mobile signal depending on your network and location. You're welcome to use your phone and explore the local area as much as you like — being off-grid doesn't mean you have to switch off.

What should I bring for my stay?

Just your food, drinks, appropriate clothing and anything personal you'd normally take away. We'd recommend sturdy shoes or walking boots, a waterproof jacket and a torch for evenings outside. We've provided the everyday cabin essentials to keep packing simple.

Dogs and other guests

Are your cabins dog-friendly?

Yes! All our cabins are dog-friendly, so your four-legged friend is welcome to join you. You can bring one dog per stay, for a £30 charge. We ask that dogs are kept under control and don't disturb livestock or wildlife.

Whether you're planning a dog-friendly break in the Cotswolds, Dorset or somewhere else in the countryside, you can browse all our dog-friendly cabins here.

Is there a secure area for my dog?

Our cabins are set in open countryside rather than enclosed gardens. We provide a stake and lead so your dog can relax outside with you, but the outdoor areas aren't fully fenced.

How many people can stay in each cabin?

Our cabins are designed for two adults, making them ideal for couples, romantic weekends and peaceful countryside breaks. We don't currently accommodate children.

Your stay and the countryside

What does off-grid actually mean?

Our cabins run independently from mains electricity, using solar power and other off-grid systems. You'll still have a comfortable bed, hot shower, cooking facilities and everything you need for a lovely stay.

It's all about having beautiful places to explore, great walks and pubs nearby, and a cosy cabin to come back to at the end of the day.

Are the cabins suitable for winter stays?

Absolutely. Our cabins are open throughout the year, with wood-burning stoves to keep you warm. Think crisp countryside walks, cosy evenings by the fire and a good pub lunch. Just bring suitable clothing for the weather.

You can browse our cabins and find somewhere for your next winter getaway.

Are the cabins private?

Each cabin has its own outdoor space and has been positioned to make the most of the surrounding countryside. Privacy and distances from other cabins vary by location, so if you're after somewhere particularly secluded, we're happy to recommend the best option.

You can explore our locations or message us on WhatsApp for help choosing.

Can we have a BBQ or campfire?

Our cabins have outdoor firepits or BBQ facilities, perfect for enjoying an evening outside at any time of year. We ask that you follow the safety instructions provided.

Please note that during particularly hot or dry weather, we may temporarily restrict outdoor fires for safety reasons.

What happens if we need help during our stay?

We're always happy to help! Each cabin has a detailed guide covering everything from the solar power and hot water to local recommendations, so most questions can be answered straight away.

If you have any questions or something isn't working as expected, simply message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you get it sorted.

What's the Narnia connection?

Our cabins take their names from characters in The Chronicles of Narnia. It's a small touch that reflects our love of discovering somewhere a little different and finding beautiful places tucked away in the countryside.
