Everything we love about Salisbury and the Woodford Valley, and our pick of things to do near the cabins, from Stonehenge to the riverside pubs. These are the places we'd explore if we were staying here ourselves.
Woodford Valley Circular
A 10km circular loop from your door through fields and along the river, past the odd camel, finishing with a drink at the Bridge Inn.
The Great Bustard
Our favourite spot, in the next village up the valley. Farm-to-table cooking from breakfast through to dinner, plus a farm shop and treatment room. Five minutes in the car or an hour along the river.
The Pembroke Arms
A proper Wiltshire pub in Wilton. Settle in for good food, local ales and a relaxed country atmosphere, with Nole in the Barn for some good vibes and good pizza.
Slinky Fox Pizza
Wood-fired pizza, good ingredients and a relaxed setting. The sort of place to head to after a day out exploring.
Stonehenge
One of the world's most famous prehistoric monuments, just a short drive from your cabin. Come early, stay late and take in the landscape that surrounds it.
Salisbury
Explore the historic city centre, wander the medieval streets and visit Salisbury Cathedral, home to one of the best-preserved copies of Magna Carta.
Old Sarum
Climb the ancient earthworks of this impressive hilltop site, with huge views across the Wiltshire countryside and layers of history stretching back thousands of years.
New Forest
Head south for a change of scenery and spend a day exploring the ancient woodland, open heathland and villages of the New Forest.
