Things to do near our Canterbury cabins
Canterbury
Everything we love about Canterbury and the Kent Downs, and our hand-picked selection of things to do near the cabins. These are the walks, places and pubs we'd explore if we were staying here ourselves.
Your own SEEK guide, sent before you arrive, has the details for each place and how to get there from your cabin.
Walks
Hike to the Duck Inn
A 4.2 mile loop from your door through the woods to earn your pub lunch.
Wye Crown
Head up onto the Downs to see the Wye Crown, a huge chalk figure carved into the hillside with sweeping views across the Kent countryside.
Pubs
The Duck Inn
A proper country pub with good food, local character and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more drink.
The Black Robin, Kingston
A pub from the 1740s doing sourdough pizzas and classic ales. Closed Mondays.
Coffee, food & drink
Gilda Bakery
A brilliant local bakery for coffee, pastries and something good to take with you. It shares a spot with Tadpole Tearooms and butchers at Bishopsbourne for you to stock up on local produce.
The PIG at Bridge Place
Coffee in the grounds, or a long lunch as a treat.
Simpsons Wine Estate
Explore one of Kent's standout vineyards, with English wine, beautiful countryside and plenty of space to wander. A very good way to spend an afternoon.
Days out
Canterbury Cathedral
One of England's most iconic cathedrals, right in the heart of the historic city. Wander the medieval streets around it while you're there.
The Kent Coast
Head towards the coast for sandy beaches, seaside towns and big views across the Channel. Whitstable, Deal and Folkestone are all worth exploring for a day by the sea.
